Constructed by hand by the natives in the highlands of Banaue, in the Province of Ifugao some 2,000 years ago, is the world-famous "Rice Terraces- The Mountain Stairways to the Skies", considered by many as the "Eighth Wonder of the World"...

Ifugao Province is located in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) of the Philippines- a land-locked region consisting of the Provinces of Abra, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, Mountain Province and Apayao.

Baguio City is the regional center. The Cordillera region encompasses most of the areas within the Cordillera Central mountain range of Luzon, the largest range in the country. This Region is home to numerous indigenous tribes collectively referred to as the Igorot.

The Cordillera Administrative Region is the only landlocked region in the country.
